Scrapbook Collage

I never got into scrapbooking, mainly because when my kids were babies, it just wasn't that popular. I would love to now, but I feel so overwhelmed to even try to start. Jennifer loves to scrapbook and for Mother's Day, she gave me this.

To say the least, I was thrilled! I've got to tell you though, it was windy outside the day I took this picture and the flower that was in the lower right corner blew away. You should have seen me out in the yard when I came in and went searching for it! I found it!

There are so many cool things in the scrapbooking shops now! I'm really missing out by not jumping on the bandwagon! Oh, and aren't those little children just beautiful? That was Easter at our house after church.

That is the flip side of the front. It can go either way. I'm on the hunt for a long mirror with a shelf to set it on so you can see both sides. I may have to try and make one!

We're Singing in the Rain!

We live in Missouri and it rained all last week. I really miss the sun! Last Wednesday Triniti (my granddaughter who is 6 going on 16) called me. Here are her exact words, "Grandma, it's raining. I need a raincoat, rain boots, rain hat, and an umbrella. I would like for it to be purple and say The Puppy Princess.". I'm thinking she pretty much said all of that in one breath.

I ran to Wal-Mart the next day and thankfully they had everything she "needed" in purple!

I just couldn't tell that little angel no. That's the advantage of being a Grandma!

There was no way I could give Triniti something and not Tierni.

I cut the letters out of vinyl using my Cricut and sewed them on to make sure they stayed.

Now it was time for a picture of the two of them together and this is what I got.

I wanted them to stand in front of the fence, but they were too busy talking to the puppies in the backyard! It took forever to get them both to turn around and look at me.

Good job little dolly's! Now you can go play in the rain!

Party On!!

Marshmallow Shooter Birthday Party

Please indulge me. I wanted to show you the pictures from Jace's Birthday Party with the marshmallow shooters I made for him. The kids (big and little) had a great time! Jennifer, you pulled off an awesome party!

Just so you aren't totally bored, I put names on the pictures. I'm sure by now you all know my husband, Greg. Josh is our oldest son and his wife is Jennifer and the kids are Jalynn, Jordyn, and Jace. Brandon is our youngest son. You know, our baby! Please don't tell him I said that!!!

The kiddo's all brought their Nerf guns and started playing with those.
Look at Jace, could he be any cuter?!!!

After cake and ice cream and the presents were opened, the marshmallow shooters came out. I made 20 of them so everyone would have one to take home.

See that sweet little girl talking to Jace? I fixed her shooter for her because she had about 50 marshmallows stuck in it. After I got them all out, she spent the rest of the time following me around shooting me!!

Yep, Jace went after Uncle Brandon! See the shooter in Brandon's hand? The big kids had as much fun with them as the little one's did!

Josh and Jalynn found their spot on the other side of the room.

Look at all the marshmallows on the floor. Believe me, there were more in the middle of the room!

I had to include this picture. Jordyn and her Papa.

This is my favorite picture. Out of all the pictures I took that day, this is the only one that turned out yellow for some reason. I just made it black and white and love it!

Thank you for letting me have my Grandma moment.

Be sure and stop by and join in the fun tomorrow at "It's a Party"!

Music Necklace

A guy that works for Greg was looking at my blog (I know, kind of funny isn't it?). He saw a Super Saturday where I featured Rebecca at My Girlish Whims and she made the cutest Sheet Music Necklace. He thought I made it and ask Greg if I would make his granddaughter one. Greg thought I did make it (shows how much he pays attention) and ask me to make one for him. After I explained to Greg how my blog worked, I went to work on a necklace for the nice guy's granddaughter.

This is my version.

I found sheet music paper at Hobby Lobby and cut a piece to fit the pendant. You all know the drill, add Dimensional Magic.

Mine is not near as fancy, but I hope she likes it!

Update! I received this e-mail the other day.

Hello Terri, this is (I took out the name) granddaughter, and I'd just like to let you know that I absolutely LOVE the necklace you made me! You did a tremendous job in making such a beautiful piece of artwork. This necklace is so precious, and all my friends adored it. Even my two band teachers were amazed that you made it. Thank You so very much(:
What a little sweetheart! That's why I love what I do!

I'll be linking Here this week.

Fun With Liquor Bottles

And I don't mean drinking the liquor. Although I guess you could if you wanted!

Since I started my blog, my secret that I'm a hoarder crafter is out. Everybody I know saves me their little "treasures". A friend of ours is a bartender at The Elks Lodge where Greg belongs. We went by there the other day and she had empty liquor bottles that she had saved for me.

That was the first bottle that I used to make a vase of flowers.

I used this from Michael's. It was so easy, no melting, just pour it in the vase.

As it started to harden, I added the silk flowers and used the clothespin to stabilize it.

I added jute around the top and set it next to my favorite plate. I love that saying!

She gave me two of these bottles. Aren't they awesome? Look at that cork! I've got to figure out something to do with it. Any ideas?

For this bottle, I put glass beads (or whatever they're called) inside of it.

I ran to Home Depot and bought (yes, actually bought) a light kit. I needed the light kit that you didn't have to drill a hole in the bottom of the bottle. This one worked out perfect.

If you think of anything I can do with the cork, please let me know. So far, I have 2 of them.

Super Saturday!

Happy Saturday! Thank you to everyone who linked up this week to "It's A Party"! Here are just some of the Super Stars who linked up.

Look what EllaBoo & Co. did with her staircase! I told her I ripped the carpet off of our stairs about 6 months ago and that's about as far as it got. I love this idea! Thank you for the inspiration!

The transformation that Stacy from The Precious Little Things in Life did with an old beat up hutch is just awesome! Great job, Stacy!

Kammy at Kammy's Korner took an old cupboard door and turned it into a beautiful clock.
Love it!!

Pressed Down, Shaken Together made the cutest Eat signs! This is definitely going on my "To Do" list.

The Joys of Life with Lucy actually sewed everything in this awesome window by hand! Oh how I love old windows!

Be sure to grab a Featured Button if you like and a huge thank you again to everyone who joined our party!

Have a great weekend!

Post It Notes

Because we own a business, we get a lot of little goodies in the mail from suppliers.

Most of the time, it's pens, calendars, etc. and they put our name on it. Of course, they then want us to buy a million of them! Last week we got this little post it note holder.

I told Greg not to order any of these because (say it all together), I can make that!

This is my version using his business cards for the front and back.

I used cardstock for the inside pages and different colors of Post-Its.

I cut the cardstock the same size as the business card and then took about 15 sheets from each Post-It and cut them in different sizes. I glued the the stacks to the cardstock to make sure they stayed in.

I punched holes in each piece and held them together with rings.

Greg's cards have printing on the front and back so it worked out perfect. The only thing I'll do different when I make more is to be sure and not punch the hole through the Jaguar's head!

Popsicle Stick Bracelets

Suzy at Suzy's Artsy Craftsy Sitcom made the cutest bracelets out of Popsicle sticks! To see how she did it, click Here. I knew the minute I saw what she did that I had to try it!

I stained or painted mine and then added trim or Mod-Podged paper on them.
How fun was that?!!

I'm going to play along with Night Owl Crafting today. Come on over and join us!

Here are my answers to the questions.
1. What type of diamond cut do you like?
I really don't care what kind of cut it is, as long as it's big and sparkly!!

2. If you are married when is your anniversary. If not what month
would you like to be married in?
Our anniversary is January 10th.

3. What were or would you like your wedding colors to be?

4. How many bridesmaids did or would you have at your wedding?
We had a very small wedding, just one.

5. How long have you been married?
You better sit down for this one, 35 years!

Mickey Mouse Necklace

This necklace just made me so happy the whole time I was working on it!

Maybe you've already guessed what it's made out of.

Paint samples! I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw these in Home Depot last week!

I'm going back today to get more, but I started with this pink one.

I used my littlest circle punch and cut out Mickey.

I Mod-Podged him on a silver jewelry bail.

Of course, I added Dimensional Magic and could hardly stand waiting the day for it to dry.

Oh how I love Mickey!!

You better run, don't walk, to your nearest Home Depot. I'm taking Greg back with me today so he can distract the paint guy while I roll the whole display out to the car!

I'll be linking up Here this week.
